Name?

The lede says

Suzette Haden Elgin (born Patricia Anne Wilkins)

That's more than just "I got married and changed my name." Can anyone add information about how/why she changed her name so completely?

The "pen name", or whatever you call it, I think intentionally has "SHE" as its initials. But I'm not sure I remember the details or whys of it all.--T. Anthony (talk) 23:52, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
