[edit]This article is in serious need of a rewrite. I have moved a copy to User:Buster7/Sandbox-Suthar for the re-construction phase. Any help is welcomed. Buster Seven Talk 03:08, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Impossible task! I can not make sense from the available info and I have no interest in further pursuit of editing this article. Deletion is most likely the best answer. Buster Seven Talk 06:29, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Redirect
[edit]I propose we redirect this article to Sutradhars of Assam. Suthar is short for Sutradhar. The Sutradhar article is much better sourced. There seems little that can be saved from this article, as there are no sources backing up any of its statements, and I could not find any. Work permit (talk) 23:46, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
- I deleted unsourced statements, which were recently added by an IP [1] and were difficult to understand. -- Work permit (talk) 15:42, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
- I am sorry but you are making a real hash of this. I have commented at Talk:Sutradhar (caste) and urge you to consider the provisions of WP:RM and WP:COMMONNAME in full. Your most recent edits to this article effectively created a situation where we had two distinct articles sharing the same content whereas the procedure would be to merge where necessary and leave a redirect to the preferred title. I have had to force a redirect here, even if only on a temporary basis, so that things do not get even more messy prior to consensus to appear or be rejected regarding your proposals. - Sitush (talk) 21:03, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

Origin
[edit]The incorrect history has been removed from what is stated in the reference and the true history has been added Vipin Babu lumia (talk) 15:28, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
origin
[edit]In the original tests mentioned in the reference, Sutars belong to Vishwa Brahmins, temples are built by Brahmins and not by Vishwa Brahmins. This is wrong. When the number of Vishwa Brahmins brought to build the temple was not enough, they were converted from other caste workers to Vishwa Brahmins. This is the real history. The original history is written in the reference Sudhar Caste History given as No. 6 Vipin Babu lumia (talk) 15:32, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
