This page should be renamed to merely "superpredators" or "super-predators"

If you look at the sources we cite, they rarely talk about a "superpredator myth" or "superpredator theory". They just talk about the putative category of "superpredators" and why such a category might or might not be true. So I think the page should be renamed in accordance with that, and the first paragraph should be something like "The superpredators were a type of criminal in the criminological theories of" etc etc. Dingolover6969 (talk) 14:11, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: move the page to Superpredator at this time, per the discussion below; there was consensus to move the page, and Superpredator is most in line with titling rules. The disambiguation page is now located at Superpredator (disambiguation), and any necessary edits to the contents of this article can be performed as necessary. Superpredator myth → Superpredators – As I mentioned elsewhere on this talk page, if you look at the sources we cite, they rarely seem to think the term for the subject of this article is "superpredator myth" or "superpredator theory". They just talk about the putative category of "superpredators" and why such a category might or might not be valid. So I think the page should be renamed in accordance with that, and the first paragraph should be something like "The superpredators were a type of criminal in the criminological theories of" etc etc. This is because this is the most common term for the subject this Wikipedia page is about. This fits with other wikipedia article titles such as Flat Earth; the wikipedia page is about the concept itself, whether it be true or false. Support Alternate move to Superpredator per WP:PLURAL, replacing the DAB page currently there. The current proposed move is incorrect. Alternatively, add the biology term to apex predator and move to Superpredator (criminology). ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 13:16, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
