The result of the move request was moved to Super s Karamelom. @harej 14:07, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Super S Karamelom → Super s karamelom — Relisting for futther input. @harej 23:23, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
The correct capitalisation of the band's name is "Super s karamelom". See their official site and their Myspace page. They are also called "Super s karamelom" on the back cover of the Neki noviji klinci i... album ([1]). Vanjagenije (talk) 00:08, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose per MOS:TM 76.66.196.139 (talk) 03:32, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well, in the first sentence of the MOS:TM, it states: ...editors should choose among styles already in use..., and there is only one style in use, that is "Super s karamelom". Do You know any other style that is IN USE? You should also see: WP:CAPS#Capitalization of expressions borrowed from other languages, where it states: If the French expression is "untranslated" (not a loan word), follow French capitalization practice and than For [..] whatever language usually written in Latin alphabet the same (or something similar) would apply. Vanjagenije (talk) 23:53, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting ; Capitalize trademarks, as with proper names - where in standard English would the proposed capitalization scheme happen? 76.66.196.139 (talk) 03:43, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
- That convention is only for English language names, while for foreign languages names there is another convention, which I already wrote. Vanjagenije (talk) 08:52, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
- Per my comment below, the form "Super s Karamelom" is used sometimes (though not most commonly), and it most closely matches English conventions. I'm not saying that I support one title or another, but that's a piece of data to take into account. -GTBacchus(talk) 14:03, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

- Support. The official website uses the proposed capitalization, and I have no doubt that this is the correct way to write it in Serbian. Applying MOS:TM and English capitalization rules would seem odd. But if you really want to do it, the title should be Super s Karamelom, since "s" is a preposition. Of course, that would just mean picking a usage nobody outside of Wikipedia uses. We have a policy against that. Jafeluv (talk) 23:37, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- It is part of our naming conventions that we don't invent new formats. However, it is not true that nobody outside of Wikipedia uses it. A few seconds with Google revealed: 1, 2 3 4 5 non-Wikipedia uses of the form "Super s Karamelom". I don't claim that it's the most common, but it's not entirely unused either. -GTBacchus(talk) 13:59, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, I see that someone does use that in English (although a part of your links are actually in Serbian). The current title is used as well, partly because some sites use a Capitalize Every Word convention, unlike Wikipedia. In any case, I still fully support moving to "Super s karamelom", since the guideline explicitly states that the original capitalization rules should be used for foreign-language titles. Jafeluv (talk) 17:33, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
- I know that some of those links are in Serbian, which goes to show that Serbian usage is not 100% consistent. I also know what the convention states, and that naming conventions here are one of the most contentious areas of policy. (Check out WT:NC, where the argument is raging like a California wildfire.) I've closed well over 1000 move requests, and I've seen simple, cut-and-dry ones. This one isn't simple, cut-and-dry. That's all I'm saying. Cases can be made for more than one capitalization style. I'm inclined to favor "Super s Karmelom", but it's not important to me. -GTBacchus(talk) 21:09, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

- Comment. In case someone cares, the Serbian Wikipedia uses Super s karamelom. Jafeluv (talk) 12:30, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- The s should be lowercase in any case, since in the local rendering it's lowercase, and in English it would be a minor word (namely preposition with). If the band is unknown in the English music scene, whichever form is correct in the local language is used. The capitalization rules we have apply for English names and those established in English usage. 81.110.104.91 (talk) 17:13, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Neutral - Articles should be named according to the commonly used name. In this case that is hard to determine. The official website uses "Super s Karamelom", "Super s karamelom" and "SUPER S KARAMELOM", so I am not sure. Further, uTube has every possiblity under the sun!
