My first article!
[edit]I'm pretty new to editing articles on Wikipedia. This is the first article that I have created. Any edits or other help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! 1618033golden (talk) 21:20, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
Sources?
[edit]The issue box at the top at the page says there are no cited sources - but there is one? Is there any sort of option for it to say that there are FEW cited sources? 1618033goldenc0ntr1b5 00:26, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
- I replaced it with a {{more sources}} tag. Largoplazo (talk) 00:57, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you. Ah, one more thing I forgot: This article is not an orphan either; it has a link in Wikipedia:Unusual place names. I guess I can remove it myself?

- An article is an orphan until another article links to it. A page in the Wikipedia namespace isn't an article. Largoplazo (talk) 23:20, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
Found better source; not sure how to integrate
[edit]I was highly dubious that this lake actually is called "Stupid Lake", as the article cites only one source that I can't even pull up with the Wayback Machine, and I couldn't find any internet sources pre-2017 that talked about this lake. However, I did manage to find it through an official Canadian government database. I just don't know how best to cite it. I also don't know if the mere fact that "Stupid Lake" exists means it meets notability guidelines. But I did want to share it. AnAbandonedMall (talk) 00:35, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
