[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- To not merge on the grounds of independent notability of the events in Kashmir. Klbrain (talk) 13:13, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
Already covered on Crowd control in Jammu and Kashmir and if we cut the quote farming and non-notable incidents, then the article will become very small. It is better to merge it to Stone pelting in India. Capankajsmilyo(Talk | Infobox assistance) 10:44, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Stone pelting in Kashmir is known to have different reasons and connotations. I propose stone pelting in Kashmir be expanded to include these facts and more importantly it should cover such incidents in all Kashmiri regions, whether administer by India or Pakistan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kshitijkmr1 (talk • contribs) 20:42, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
Capankajsmilyo, indeed, IMO you should merge the pages because there seems no point to keep it as a separate article. this falls under india category.
- Strong oppose Stone pelting in India covers stone pelting in Kashmir alongside CAA protests which gives a clear indication that merging Stone pelting in Kashmir to India may represent Kashmir conflict unfairly, a violation of WP:WIKIVOICE. However, stone pelting in Kashmir be merged to Crowd control in Jammu and Kashmir since both articles are identical.[1], [2], [3]
Moreover, stone pelting in Kashmir has received national and international attention.[4],[5], [6], [7]
Events are also very likely to be notable if they have widespread (national or international) impact and were very widely covered in diverse sources, especially if also re-analyzed afterwards (as described below)
