I feel this section should be deleted, as the sources are over a decade old now and technology has moved on.
The issues raised in the sources are beyond my time, however there are simple tests and standards available which can measure the skid resistance within an hour of being laid. These tests are common on important routes, and there is no reason a road should be opened without the required PSV value to open safely. Garfie489 (talk) 23:47, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
