Stockholm-Åre bid for the 2026 Winter OlympicsStockholm–Åre bid for the 2026 Winter Olympics – Stockholm and Åre are just two separate places working together so their names should be loosely connected with a dash, not tightly combined using a hyphen. The dash produces a compound, "Stockholm–Åre", where the connection between the two might otherwise be expressed with the word "and", as in "Stockholm and Åre" > see MOS:ENBETWEEN. Hyphenating "Stockholm-Åre" connects the two together and produces a conjoined compound word.
