Information about the stink prank product Liquid ASS should be added to the article about stink bombs. The article mentions another product, Fart Spray, by name and alludes to another product (fart bombs).
I added information to the article regarding Liquid ASS along with a link to the site. However, the administrator deleted it. He explained that the outside link did not meet Wikipedia external links guidelines (which I had read beforehand). In my opinion, an external link to Liquid ASS falls within the guidelines since the web site contains information on use and testimonials from users. I checked the "Links to be Avoided" and found no criteria there that would cause me to think an external link to Liquid ASS would be inappropriate.
No explanation was given for removing the two sentences altogether that I added about Liquid ASS, which are as follows:
Another stink prank product, Liquid ASS, comes in a small bottle and is applied to objects with a fine stream by squeezing the bottle. Since Liquid ASS does not use sulfur, it has a genuine smell of feces and road-kill.
I also find it interesting that the method of applying Liquid ASS is the same as that as used by Who Me. Does Liquid ASS smell as bad, also (or worse)? Sounds like a good assignment for the administrator since this topic apparently falls within his area of expertise. AnimalCracker 01:19, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- It was removed because it was blatant advertising, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. If you want to add a link to an external links section, that's fine, but the product isn't notable enough to merit its own mention in the article body. – ClockworkSoul 02:05, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- I can see your case about the link, but how is it not notable enough to merit its own mention in the article body? You mention other prank products that stink and the category here is Practical Jokes. Have you used Liquid ASS? I have. I have used all the products you mention (stink bombs, fart spray, and fart bombs), and Liquid ASS smells worse (or better, depending on your persepective) than any of those. I have not tried Who Me, though, so I don't know about that comparison.

- The only product mentioned by specific name is Who me?, and it's notable because it was actually used as a stench weapon in WWII. It's really not a matter of what smells worse. – ClockworkSoul 05:07, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Your previous comment should read, "Now that I have edited out the sentence in which I mentioned Fart Spray, the only product mentioned by specific name . . ." You will need to do a little better than that to fool me. Of course, by deleting information about Fart Spray, your article (which I think is excellent and well written) has less relevance to the subject. To be comprehensive, it needs to include information about Fart Spray and Liquid Ass, both of which are products used for stinky practical jokes. You also did not answer my inquiry as to (1) why Liquid Ass is not notable enough to merit mention in the article? and (2) whether or not you have evaluated Liquid Ass for yourself?

I have deleted some sentences I deemed to be vandalism - see history. Kartan (talk) 01:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I was the victim of a commercailly created stink bomb today which was left for me to step on. Your report does not mention an explosion of the kind I experienced. It was very loud and I was not aware of the source at first so I was quite shocked before the stink spread. It is not an experience I would wish on anyone. Hkhv (talk) 08:35, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
A Stink Bomb recipe
[edit]I'd have a funny stink bomb recipe:
& the hardest of all to collect (please do not ever try this unless you want to waste money on tomato juice)
Mix all of this stuff together, tie up the balloon & let it go & detonate it & the whole area will smell unbearable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.61.79.208 (talk) 22:16, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
Can anyone find anything to back this fact up?
[edit]The smelliest naturally occurring odour comes from the horse, whose stench is several times worse than the next closest animal, the skunk.
Sorry if I have not done this right but this fact just seemed wrong and a cursory google search came up with nothing to back it up. Not sure how to highlight it for a review by someone who knows what they are doing with Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.246.31.239 (talk) 08:28, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
