Unreferenced claims and dubious wording

[edit]

@Opnionatedone: I have removed the Swan Feather and genius.com references, which are not the types of sources that may be used on Wikipedia, for specific reasons stated in my edit summary. The article relied heavily on the biography posted on the Swan Feather website, so removing that reference leaves many claims lacking a direct citation, but I suppose that verification can be provided for most of the claims using other sources, some of which are maybe already in the article. Could you look at that? Something else: The sentence In 2018, Carless and Hussle released their debut album Victory Lap, which earned a Grammy nomination language makes it sound like Carless and Hussle are the artists behind the album, and Carless is only one of several producers. The accomplishments, credits, and awards of the subject must not be made to look greater than they are in reality, and maximum precision about this is required in an encyclopedia article. Unrelated matter: The file used for the portrait was a copyright violation and has been deleted. Sincerely—Alalch E. 09:25, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Alalch, you were right, that site wasn't reliable. I'm now reading Wikipedia:Reliable sources page to get a better understanding of diffeent types of sources. I made the adjustments and added much stronger citations. To my knowledge AllMusic and Jaxsta are reliable authority's on music credits.
Regarding:
"In 2018, Carless and Hussle released their debut album Victory Lap, which earned a Grammy nomination" Has also been amended to: In 2018, Carless collaborated with Hussle and served as one of the Executive Producers for the album. I added a source to his credits as an Executive Producer.
I did remove "He also co-A&R’d Beyoncé's 2021 Grammy-nominated single "Black Parade" Until I find a reputable source for it.
Thanks again Alalch. Opnionatedone (talk) 11:03, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
