Title: St Stephen Walbrook

[edit]

The church is called St Stephen Walbrook. There should be no comma and certainly no possessive in it. I've never heard anyone refer to it by the name in the title of this article. Use the coordinates given in the article and choose Google Maps. In the Street View you can see the sign outside the church. It says Parish Church of St Stephen Walbrook. I propose that the article be renamed (moved) to St Stephen Walbrook. --Frans Fowler (talk) 23:30, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

PS By the way, the Trust for London site, which is the target of the link in the External links modified section on this page, also calls it St Stephen Walbrook. --Frans Fowler (talk) 23:42, 4 March 2017 (UTC). PPS So does the Web site for the church itself, at http://www.ststephenwalbrook.net --Frans Fowler (talk) 00:02, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, that is the correct modern form. The title of this article is a form used historically (old sources have "St Mary's, Aldermary" etc, too), but now archaic. William Avery (talk) 00:04, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It was moved here in 2013 by @Rms125a@hotmail.com: William Avery (talk) 00:09, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved it to St Stephen Walbrook. DuncanHill (talk) 01:55, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
