Placename
[edit]Note I have removed (again) the garbled placename translation claiming to be sourced to a DK-published guidebook.
"Parish church of St Mary in Hollow of the White Hazel township near the rapid whirlpool and the parish church of St Tysilio with a red cave" is poor. Llan is usually either "parish" or "church"; the word "township" (tref) does not appear in the name although Pwllgwyngyll was the name of one of the two parish townships; pwll is a pool or (unlikely) a "pit"; "white hazel" is a mistranslation of gwyngyll, actually (probably) "white hazels", "white hazel-wood". There are plenty of better translations of the name; I've sourced one, see citation.Svejk74 (talk) 20:54, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
