- Comment @Unikalinho: Does Irish English retain the fullstop? -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 23:09, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- We have English wikipedia, not Irish English--Unikalinho (talk) 16:48, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
- British English does not retain the fullstop while both American and Canadian English do, so what do you mean by "English"? -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 06:13, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- American and Canadian English have the same orthography like British English. So in Enwiki from this angle, we don't differentiate it, naming "English". And Irish English is an other case--Unikalinho (talk) 05:55, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- British English does not use the "period" (fullstop) in this manner. (examples: Church of St James, Liverpool , St James's Church, Piccadilly , St John, Cornwall , etc) ; it used to, but that was more than a couple of decades ago. This one is in Ireland, not Britain, so how does Irish English do things. -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 06:59, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
