[edit]Observations below DYK hook
- ... that the St. Paul’s Church, Diu is a renowned functioning church, out of the three churches built by the Portuguese in Diu, and is among the best in baroque architecture in India?

- ALT1... that St. Paul's Church, one of three churches built by the Portuguese in Diu, is among the best examples of baroque architecture in India? Geraldk (talk) 22:10, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
- Alt Hook is fine. Thanks.--Nvvchar (talk) 03:28, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
- Article length is good, however hook not supported by cites. Neither of the cited sources mentions it being baroque at all, nor do either say it is among the best examples? -- AnmaFinotera (talk • contribs) 02:23, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Clarification
Thanks for the review. You are right. In my haste to post two articles, one on Diu Fort (DYK cleared) and the other on St. Paul’s Church, posted one below the other on DYK page, I forgot to insert the relevant references in the Church article. I have added two references now which mention 'baroque' and 'gothic'.
The references added are:
One reference, which clearly states "Boasting a Gothic architectural style, this church is the biggest Portuguese Catholic church on the island. Its intriguing volutes and shell like motifs are the sight to behold. This apart, you will also be mesmerized by seeing the lavish wood carving. In fact glancing through this exquisite work you will realize why this is touted to be the most elaborate of all the Portuguese churches in India.", was blocked and hence removed.
I hope that the above would be adequate to clear the Hook. But you are welcome to change it to a hook that appeals to you. Thanks once again--Nvvchar
