Cathedral

[edit]

this source indicates that it is a cathedral, (http://www.gcatholic.org/churches/europe/2145.htm) cathedrals can also serve both as parishes --Warairarepano&Guaicaipuro (talk) 13:29, 13 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

other sources indicate here the same (https://www.google.com/search?tbm=bks&q=St.+Patrick%27s+Cathedral%2C+Skibbereen) --Warairarepano&Guaicaipuro (talk) 13:41, 13 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The very same "sources" you mention clearly state: The present position and status of the diocese of Ross and Skibbereen Cathedral is a little unclear. Again, the definite source to determine whether a church is a cathedral in a catholic diocese is the very diocese. As clearly stated in the diocese website, this church does not hold this status and, although naming it as a cathedral can be valid from a popular or traditional point of view, we cannot state it's a cathedral right now. --Discasto (talk) 09:41, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
