Speculative nonsense

"Little is known of the internal development of Sparta."

It is too known. All the historians wrote extensively of Sparta.

"Many Greeks believed there had been none, and that "the stability of the Spartan constitution" had lasted unchanged from the days of Lycurgus."

Says who?

"Because most Spartan laws were passed down orally and committed to memory, little is known about Spartan society."

For a people who knew little about it they sure did a lot of writing.

"Spartan society was considered primitive by ancient Greek standards."

Primitive? No way. I believe the word is simple. Their ideology was to avoid ostentation and wealth and dress and speak simply.

"Settlements were scattered and mirrored the dwellings used during Greece's 'Dark Age' (1150–700 BC) which means that they were mostly thatched houses. Stone construction was reserved for public works such as temples, government halls, and gymnasiums."

Bull. Needs some archaeology.

"What we do know of Spartan society comes from historians of that time."

Rhetra Diagram

I designed and submitted the diagram depicting the Great Rhetra to the Sparta page. It was suggested that the diagram be moved to a new (at the time) page for the Spartan Constitution. I agreed. For some reason, however the diagram is attributed to Putinovic. The diagram is mine. Publius97 (talk) 17:24, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
