Songs

I saw the show last night and the song list here on Wikipedia is wrong. I don't think it's a matter of changes that might have occurred, because the list here isn't even very logical. It lists both "He's Not Dead Yet" and "He is Not Dead Yet" - two versions of the same title, at different places in the 1st act. Don't worry, I'll change it at home when I've got the Playbill in my hands.

Vandalism Continues - March 2009

Jjswings26 continues to vandalize this page. He removes correct information and puts in incorrect information. I have reverted his recent edits again. I was willing to consider it good-natured until I saw he has been doing it for a while and had already received two polite warnings and one not-so-polite one. Songs Updated

(same person as above) Actually, I used the Internet Broadway Database to update the list. I left in the "Laker Girl Cheer", I'm not sure it's an actual separate song, but it does give the reader a better idea of what happens.

"Laker Girl Cheer" I know does have its own track on the soundtrack. I would say that it is an actual separate song.=Diabolos

Production History?

How about a note or two about "The Spanking Song" (cut in rehearsals) or the witch-burning song and the cow's lament (the latter two cut during the Chicago run)? I saw the show tonight with Kennedy as the new Lady of the Lake, and she sang the "rewards/Awards" version. I'm assuming she didn't win a Tony, so they changed it back to that version when she took over for Ramírez? I saw it Feb 8, 2006 and Kennedy sang "I've no Grammy, no rewards/Where's my Tony... Not yours (pointing to the monitor that I could see had the director's face on it) Not yours (pointing off stage) Not yours (pointing somewhere to the back of the audience) but my Tony Award!" criticism?

The reason because I hate this show I really love Monty Python and I thought that I would see I show with references to their film. In stead of that, I saw I show with references to their Jews producers saying that they have all the money and they are cool, and their criminal extermination in the Middle East this week (September\09\2007) is cool because some American Jews have money. If they are so rich and cool why Israel is not in the top 20 riches countries in the world? Why they are threatening all their neighbors with nuclear weapons this week (September\09\2007)? I understand that most of you are Americans and 800 channels are saying that you have to think in the democrat or republican way and, that the friends and enemies of USA the one that those parties are saying every Election Day. This is the most I can do against this show. I will write saying the truth, all the negative aspects of this production. By the way no wonder this show is not working in any culture with Jews kissing mentality, like Europe except England were the Monty Pythons are a reference, anyway I doubt that there, they have a positive reference to the Jews.

Do not enjoy this show while they remain positive references to a killer country, there are funniest and more interesting shows without terrorist apologist in Broadway.

Title of the show

I feel that the article should be contained under Monty Python's Spamalot and that Spamalot should redirect to the full title. Who wrote the lyrics?

The article gives Idle sole credit for the lyrics but this BBC site ([1]) credits three of the songs variously to Palin, Cleese, Chapman and Innes. Both cannot be true. What's the real deal here?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.154.66.11 (talk • contribs)

1. H2G2 is not a "real" BBC site - it is like WP with "regular people" contributing, so shouldn't be used as a source. 2. I am guessing they list the others because some of the dialog and lyrics come from the original movie. — RevRagnarok ^{Talk Contrib} 14:11, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Show Dates

Current show dates indicate that the London production (Autumn 2006) opened in the middle of the Pittsburgh run. At least some, if not most, of the cast was identical in the two runs (according to the article). Therefore, one or the other fact is incorrect.

Jewish audience member

When I saw the show in Philadelphia, the grail was under the seat of a guy with a very Jewish-sounding name, and this got an additional big laugh. Does this happen at other performances, and is it worth mentioning in the article? 70.20.238.20 14:34, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Spanish?

The article notes that the production opening in Barcelona is in Spanish, but they don't speak Spanish in Barcelona: they speak Catalan. Is the production in Catalan or Spanish? —  MusicMaker5376 19:59, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Score

I've recently had the opportunity to look through the score for Spamalot (It was a piano-conductor reduction, from MTI, I think). Among it were some odd notes: Checks noting when the songs were revised and sent to "Larry." Alternate names of tunes written in parentheses. Claims of missing bars. I'm so depressed was written at the top of one of the pages. Has anyone else seen this? Are other musicians screwing with me? Posh Spice lyric in "Diva's Lament"

I read nearly 2 years ago that in 2008, the director of Spamalot didn't feel like making fun of Britney Spears anymore, so the lyrics in "The Diva's Lament" had to be changed to resemble Posh Spice. Here's the link.--Angeldeb82 (talk) 23:30, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
