Franco Pellizotti
[edit]@EdgeNavidad: I was searching around to find out if Franco Pellizotti's win of this was explicitly annulled and I came across a convo you had back in 2009 where you said "I would be careful here, and only remove Pellizotti from the results unless a source explicitly says that the next rider was upgraded." As there unsurprisingly isn't anything about Pellizotti and the SHD, should we give him the win? BaldBoris 17:20, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- @BaldBoris: What I meant to say (but failed to do clearly, I had to re-read my own message several times) was that the only thing we should do was to remove Pellizotti from the results, and we should not upgrade other riders unless we have a source for that. Pellizotti's results for the 2009 Tour were removed by CAS, so that includes the SHD, and I think it is OK to remove him. But as far as I know, there is no mention of Vladimir Karpets (second to reach the SHD point) to be given the award, so we should not put Karpets on the list. Does that make sense? --EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 21:05, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
Missing winners cash prizes
[edit]I'm about to nominate this for FL so a once over by anyone would be appreciated. The only info I've struggled with is the winners cash prizes, although I've yet to check through all my many magazines on the Tour I've been building up. Thanks. BaldBoris 17:20, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
2021
[edit]Nairo Quintana won it (checks watch) yesterday if someone on a Proper Computer fancies updating the various tables. Mr Larrington (talk) 00:13, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
Article in need of some copy editing
[edit]The article is quite hard to follow. The history section in particular is in need of some copy editing. For instance, what do the following sentences mean? "Beginning in 1952, the marking point for the prize took place by the monument for the subsequent times the Tour visited the Galibier. Since the 1965 Tour, the Galibier has always been used when it was passed." 90.143.21.126 (talk) 16:33, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
