Parallels
[edit]"Parallels abound in eastern thought, in Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism."...Such as? Examples of specific parallel concepts would be helpful.Lily20 (talk) 22:31, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Hypatia
[edit]How does Hypatia's virginity have anything to do with sophrosyne? Sophrosyne is to do with balance and moderation, and total abstinence is its antithesis. For example, consider Hippolytus and his hubristic rejection of Aphrodite. Changes have been made. 09:25, 11 May 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.108.156.45 (talk)
I believe the above criticism to be valid and the article sadly still erroneously implies Hypatia's virginity is emblematic of sophrosyne. (signed: Phantomsnake) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phantomsnake (talk • contribs) 01:14, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
