B. R. Buckelew had an early Mexican Land Grant described in the State Archives in Sacramento, California as follows:
B. R. Buckelew (ID# MC 4:4 - 629 (b)) Name of Grant: Punta De Quintin, 6,877.48 acres, dated 4/10/1866. This location may be in Marin County where San Quinten Prison is located today? More research is required to find the exact location of B. R. Buckelew's land.
Another Mexican Land Grant at the California State Archives is available for a Benjamin Buckelew.
