@Bearcat: I attempted to add this article to Category:Social conservatism, but it appears to have been deleted in 2010. You mentioned a deletion discussion in that category's deletion log, but I still can't find a deletion discussion for this category. Will you be able to undelete this category? For something that I appparently did in 2010, it's hard to remember the context for it. The discussion may have been conducted on a different wording for the same grouping ("exactly identical title" is not a prerequisite of speedying a recreation, if the content or function is substantively the same as a previously deleted title), or I might have accidentally selected the wrong criterion from the dropdown box on a category that was legitimately deletable for a different reason (such as existing as an empty category with no content — I can't, for instance, find any indication that this article was ever in it before, or anything else that ever was either), or I could have been just plain wrong about there ever having been any prior discussion at all (it's certainly possible that I just got it confused with something else entirely). Five years removed from the matter, however, there's no easy way for me to figure out which of those it was.
Accordingly, I have no opposition to it being recreated — it's not strictly necessary to specifically undelete a category, when it can just as easily be created anew without even a fraction as much work as it takes to recreate a deleted article from scratch. (Restoring a deleted category does not, if there's any doubt, automatically readd any article that was in it before — a recreated category would still have to be repopulated manually in the same way as any other newly created one, and restoring the original wouldn't tell you anything about how it was or wasn't populated previously.)
But for it to have any substantive value, there would have to be a lot more in it than just this one article alone — I know that there are a couple of other potential articles for it, but I don't know offhand whether there are enough to prevent it from being a WP:SMALLCAT.
