"Federal attorney" or "defends companies"?

[edit]

Government-employed attorneys don't defend companies, and I don't even know what a "federal attorney" is -- wikipedia redirects it to US Attorney, which this guy is not. (later) Okay, I figured it out -- he's a licensed federal attorney, which means he is allowed to appear in federal courts (as opposed to only in state courts.) I've tweaked the article to clarify. valereee (talk) 11:46, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for rectifying that, Valereee. I'm not that familiar with the US legal system (though I admit I was slightly confused myself).--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 15:53, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It was a new one on me, too...I actually just created the licensed federal attorney page and disambiguated 'federal attorney' to either that or US Attorney. I'm no legal expert, either, but I linked it to the wikiproject law, I'm sure someone will be along eventually to check my work. :) valereee (talk) 16:05, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
