Lots of edits made by one of the creators - is this legit?
[edit]The page appears to have been made by "jamesdoshea", who is credited as one of the creators of Silent Talker. Is this allowed under Wikipedia rules? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.151.213.139 (talk) 18:01, 1 April 2022 (UTC)
- At the time the article was created, it possibly wasn't. As of now, stricter standards apply: see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. AndyTheGrump (talk) 13:10, 19 April 2022 (UTC)

Working on editing this
[edit]This page needs a great deal of expansion if it is to be useful to anyone. I am currently researching the topic and related research to provide scientific information on the legitimacy of the claim made here and links to other Wiki articles on lie detection devices. Pyrperson (talk) 22:59, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- If such sources can be found, that would seem a good idea, though frankly I doubt it exists, since the whole thing seems to be based on wishful thinking, and as such unlikely to attract independent research. AndyTheGrump (talk) 23:59, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- I agree with what you are saying, but there are some people (and even governments) spending money thinking this will work. The citations show why using this device is wasteful. The original stub didn't make this clear. If this page has outlived its usefulness, then the community will decide it isn't needed. I wanted to make the content more correct as long as it lasts. Having looked at many primary sources as well as the ones that are referenced here, I don't think there is anything more to be found.Pyrperson (talk) 20:57, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Pyrperson: Looks great. Nice job on expanding this! Looks great. Rp2006 (talk) 02:14, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
