Request Edit - CC-BY English Text
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The reviewer would like to request the editor with a COI attempt to discuss with editors engaged in the subject-area first. |
Sefaria has a full English translation of this text, presented in parallel to the original.
It's licensed CC-BY, translated by Shraga Silverstein.
I believe that a link to this would fall under section 2 of WP:ELYES.
I have a COI (I work for Sefaria), and have discussed it on WikiProject:Judaism.
I had made the edit directly myself, beore understanding the ins-and-outs of how to best request an edit, given my COI.
Link should probably be to here: Sifrei Bamidbar and here: Sifrei Devarim (Updated links: LevEliezer (talk) 10:36, 16 August 2017 (UTC))

- Hi there. Your edit was undone by another editor, and as such, there is no clear consensus for its implementation. Discuss the proposed change with the editor in question, and you should hopefully understand the reasons for why the edit was undone, and may not be needed, or ways in which it can be changed to conform to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Note that this is a duplicate reply to another one of your edit requests due to their similar nature. Regards, VB00 (talk) 07:56, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
- MrOllie reverted my initial edits solely because of my COI, not on the merit of the content. I've since discussed with him and with editors in this domain, and generally heard support. Note that this too is a duplicate, due to the similar, etc etc. LevEliezer (talk) 13:00, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
In light of the above, I'd like to reopen this request.

- Per the discussion at the conflict of interest noticeboard and WikiProject Judaism, which were favorably disposed to granting analogous Sefaria links, I believe a consensus exists to add the link, and I have done so accordingly. Altamel (talk) 04:20, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
