US and Canada
[edit]The section on the US and Canada is wrong, perhaps out of date. Grocery stores in the US at least usually give shoppers a choice of paper or plastic and some give both (together). Some also give shoppers a small discount (5 or 10 cents) for each bag the shopper brings in. Citations are needed for this. Wakablogger2 (talk) 06:41, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Edit Rational
[edit]I for opne a=m getting sick and tired of metric-users being the one ones allowed to use measurements on Wikipedia; Not everyone uses them, and I wouldn't know a "liter" (and it's spelled L-I-T-E-R) from a kilometer. I took the time to convert it so the site can be used by everyone- EQUALLY. 97.120.225.34 (talk) 05:21, 2 March 2010 (UTC)A REDDSON
- I'm confused. Who is preventing you from adding British units? If you are having trouble with units or conversions, use this, for example in Google
- 3 liters =? gallons
- to get the British equivalent. As for spelling, both British and American spellings are valid on the English Wikipedia. What is important is consistency within a single article. Wakablogger2 (talk) 09:39, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]This article is not necessary. This should be a disambiguation page that would direct users to other more specific types of shopping bags. Pkgx (talk) 19:52, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
