Problems
[edit]This article seems to have a lot of issues:
- The "etymology" section is weird; "shinbashira" is an ordinary example of rendaku and doesn't need to be explained here
- The whole article is about pillars in Japan, but the first picture is from a Chinese pagoda and has a Chinese caption
- In the "Earthquake resistance" section, the italics in the first paragraph are a lengthy quote from the Economist but not marked as such, though the article is given as a citation.
- Some portions of the article are taken directly from here and not marked as a quote or even italicized, it's just given as a citation.
Japanese Wiki doesn't have an article on architectural shinbashira - a note at the top of 真柱 just redirects to 仏塔, the article on pagodas. Perhaps it would be better to merge this into Tō? --Polm23 (talk) 06:41, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
