Picture
[edit]That picture is pretty dire - can anyone do any better? --Hobmcd 01:05, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
I do not think this picture is taken in 1991 as the picture comment says. I think it is a mistyping and the date is 2001 In 1991 she looked like in Twin Peaks Fire Walk with me, definietly younger, check it out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.2.114.79 (talk) 14:21, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
I totally agree with 84.2.114.79. Unfortunately, I had to back date the picture even further. It is said that this picture was taken at the 42nd Emmy Awards - those were in 1990, not '91. Sometimes it is unfortunate that WP is based solely on what can be verified. - "Yes...It's Raining" 15:27, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
"West Germany, now Germany" = BS ?
[edit]Sorry, Sheryl Lee was born in what is officially called Federal Republic of Germany. This was the case when she was born, and it is even now. Whoever had the idea to say she was born in "West Germany"? Little ridiculous! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.163.143.236 (talk) 13:04, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Sheryl Lee
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sheryl Lee's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "rodley":
- From Twin Peaks: Rodley, Chris (1997). Lynch on Lynch. Faber and Faber. ISBN 0-571-19548-2.
- From List of Twin Peaks characters: Rodley, Chris (1997). "Lynch on Lynch". Faber & Faber.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 15:37, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

Nationality ?
[edit]She was born in Germany, yet credited as an american actress. I understand she grew up in the US, but were her parents US citizens? Shouldn't this be listed as a German actress? Or at least a German born actress. Wiki does not list actors nationality as because of where they grew up or live.Pirhounix (talk) 17:49, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- No idea why she is mentioned as being ‘German’ American, considering, as much as can be seen, she is just an American who was born in Germany (West Germany, at the time). Birth in Germany doesn’t confer citizenship in itself except in quite rare circumstances. It’s not appropriate to refer to her as German-American, as she doesn’t have German citizenship to begin with. I view German-American as referring to US and German dual citizens, and she is almost certainly not one of these people (it would be almost impossible, anyways).
- I feel like this was added by American editors who don’t understand that citizenship and nationality work a bit differently in Europe and elsewhere than they do in the US or Canada, or Latin America. Just as a Syrian born in Germany isn’t German, an American born there also is not automatically going to be German. Birthplace doesn’t mean a lot in German nationality law. 2601:188:CB80:2620:6463:72AE:65CB:D3C9 (talk) 17:09, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
