--I am perplexed by this assertion from the 'Film Career' section:
'Gordon’s first film as a producer, The Duellists, won the Cannes Film Festival in 1977.'
My thought here was 'won what?' One might think that to 'win' the Cannes Film Festival probably means that you won the Golden Palm. Right? If it's not the awarding of the prestigious Golden Palm that we are talking about, then I feel misled. Now, The Duellists was nominated, but didn't win. If it's relevant, then okay, Scott recieved the coveted Best First Work at that festival. I am not quite confident about simply making this change to the article myself, because somehow I tend to lose every debate I get into on wikipedia even though I am always right.
