Marriage
[edit]There is no conformation that Topp and Miller are married. It is most likely an April Fool's Prank. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.184.58.112 (talk) 13:24, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- We just got the definitive confirmation from Miller's socials, please allow the editing... Razgriz016 (talk) 17:18, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Still not inline with WP:VERIFY hold fire for now Mewhen123 (talk) 17:38, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- We're talking about online personalities, unless you go personally to get their marriage license, for now this is as good a confirmation we'll get, fix it dude 🙄 Razgriz016 (talk) 17:50, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not looking for confirmation of that depth. What we need is one of the confirming it was or wasn't a prank somewhere, if they are actually married then they have to admit it's true at some point, if not they may never mention it again and it'll very likely be just an April fools prank. Until either one of these happen it will stay off this article Mewhen123 (talk) 17:54, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- That's literally the pointttt, Courtney's latest post on her IG is literally the confirmation this wasn't a prank, she posted more pictures of the day and said "Happy April 2nd", that's confirmation enough to add to the other things they've said Razgriz016 (talk) 17:56, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- They could still be playing a long con prank we can't add it until a secondary source appears. Mewhen123 (talk) 17:58, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- I honestly can't understand how you guys keep denying the thing, they're not psychos to play with us like that, they're married, had a private ceremony or whatevs, but it's real Razgriz016 (talk) 18:00, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- im not denying its real, it just can't be verified. I see you're new and don't understand how things work here, we can't add unverifiable content to articles Mewhen123 (talk) 18:02, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm a partial shartney shipper as well but we can't make these claims. Mewhen123 (talk) 18:03, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Not new to editing Wikipedia lol, just hadn't bothered to create an account till today, I've had my beef with people that insist on linking/sourcing wrong information in other pages and being adamant on that "that's the real info" Razgriz016 (talk) 18:04, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- until they address it in a video that isn't satire we can't add it. Mewhen123 (talk) 18:05, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Sigh this is not fun at all... Razgriz016 (talk) 18:25, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Editing isn't always fun I agree. I usually don't like enforcing policies, but in some cases it is needed. Mewhen123 (talk) 18:44, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- How's this for a third party sauce?

- You're not fun m8... Razgriz016 (talk) 19:19, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Just playing devil's advocate here... But do you have any references to indicate that it's an April Fool's Prank other than it was announced on April 1st? At time of writing, we have evidence both of the wedding being mentioned in recording over a month prior as well as evidence provided by the first party as more wedding pictures posted on a day that is not April 1st. As far as I can find, it's only speculation that their wedding is an April Fool's prank. Doesn't Verify specify that content is determined based upon published information rather than the opinions of an editor, such as the opinion that it's an April Fool's prank? 2600:1700:7C30:34A0:999C:5300:D98F:C629 (talk) 19:21, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- It was definitely intended to come off as a prank, especially with the podcast and Angela making marriage based references. Whether it was actually a prank is what this discussion was about Mewhen123 (talk) 20:15, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

- @Mewhen123 actually it does meet Verifiability, under WP:ABOUTSELF. It is now April 2nd, neither of them have suddenly turned around and gone "April Fools". At this point there is no reasonable doubt that it's a stunt unless they, Smosh, and numerous unrelated friends are randomly continuing this. If you can present evidence to demonstrate reasonable grounds for non-inclusion then there's little reason to continue blocking inclusion. Rambling Rambler (talk) 19:36, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- I do still think it would be a good idea to wait another day or so Mewhen123 (talk) 19:39, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- You can still want to, but at this point it very much is you not wanting to include based on a gut feeling, which doesn't really hold weight against a multitude of allowable in this circumstance primary sources. If it turned out to be the world's most bizarre dragged out April Fool's we can always then update it to include that, but until then there is no reason to doubt the veracity of the claims. Rambling Rambler (talk) 19:45, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- I guess you're right. Should be fair to add it now. Mewhen123 (talk) 19:48, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

- Thanks for doing that, but the edit summary is rather funny. Rambling Rambler (talk) 19:52, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

Add “Topp confirmed his marriage to Smosh costar Courtney Miller on April 1, 2024. Fans initially were led to believe it was a stunt for April Fools Day however multiple friends have now confirmed the pair are legitimately married. Damien Haas confirmed via Twitch stream on April 2nd. SmoshIsMyPassion (talk) 02:20, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
