What is the real history of the share Icon?

[edit]

"Email this page" icons were around way before 2006. Anyone know the real history of the share icon? I'm trying to pull something up with the googles and Im just getting tuts. Seems like this page is dominated by commercial assertions and strategic communication. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.13.245.220 (talk) 16:30, 12 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
