Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted. The supposed lack of asserted importance is nonsense. A queen-mother, who exerted considerable influence over one of the most critical periods of the Abbasid Caliphate, and was the de facto regent for some time, is certainly notable. --Constantine 09:59, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I must say that I find the speedy deletion tag very odd and strange. The article subject is so obviously notable - which is accounted for in text and well referenced - that a tag should say exactly why she should be seen as non notable. She was an acknowledge de facto ruler, she had acknowledge political influence, she was both praised and had a bad reputation in Arab history for centuries ans a well known historic fogure, she appointed a female justice minister, a remarkable and unique appointment considered scandalous in her culture - and all this is referenced. Why should she not be considered notable? It is rather the wiev that she was not notable, that needs to be clarified, than the other way around. I find the nomination very odd and strange indeed.--Aciram (talk) 10:19, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
