"Gold" return status

The album was referred to as going reverse gold or reverse platinum due to record stores ordering or had shipped to them far more than they were selling. The soundtrack for the movie was made up of all songs from the original Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album but also uses almost all songs from the album Abbey Road whose songs seem to be more memorably covered in the movie.

This paragraph hits the trifecta: It's unnecessary, it's a weaselly-worded statement of opinion, and it's bad writing. I don't like removing content, and I don't want to single any one contributor out! But framing an opinion with weasel-wording like "seem to be" strikes me as deliberate, a contributor doing what he knows is wrong.

What's up with the POV, anyway? Does anybody even care which of these songs are "more memorably covered" (or "better") than the others? A Bee Gees-dominated disco take on The Beatles is something you're either open to, or else you detest the very idea, and refuse to listen to it (even Aerosmith are guilty by association). I was born in 1971, and even at my very young age, I noticed the howls of outrage from the magazines and television. I think even Cracked had something to say about it!

Does anybody think it's really necessary to specifically inform the reader that the soundtrack "uses almost all songs" from Abbey Road? If it isn't already said elsewhere in the article (and I'll bet it is), I'll find a way to clearly and briefly mention it -- without the POV.

For some reason, I find "but also uses almost all songs from ..." undesirable, whereas something more like "and also includes nearly every song from ..." seems acceptable. Maybe it's "almost", a word with a childlike, amateurish flavor. (I once went on a rant about the term "portion" as applied to sections of a song.)

QUESTION: the album actually includes material from no less than five Beatles albums, not to mention the "Strawberry Fields Forever" single. Should those albums be explicitly listed?
