Changing "after 1973" to 1975, as Stephanie rabtasch dies 22. desember 1975. Ojdawp (talk) 23:43, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:51, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
there is a reliable source already cited by wikipedia, see Adolf Hitler and Stefanie Rabatsch. though this is no longer in the page. Acrions (talk) 16:20, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That source shows a burial date of "09.01.1976" so that doesn't help at all, as it does not show a date of death. — Diannaa (talk) 21:45, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is this an improvement?

[edit]

I am in two minds about these changes.

Concerns are broadly twofold. Firstly the previous version clearly distinguished between two definite extended emotional relationships (Eva Braun & Geli Raubal) and a number of others which are - to a greater or lesser extent - merely speculated (though the exact nature of Raubal's relationship with AH is not known, an intense possessiveness on his part is universally acknowledged). The advantage of this distinction is substantial IMO and the linked articles are there for those who want further details. The article is after all about AH's relationships/sexuality, not primarily about those romantically linked to him. The amount of space devoted to, for example Mitford and some others is disproportionate to anything known about her emotional relationship with AH, and much of it is about her, not her & AH.

The second concern is mainly the quality of sourcing now being employed. I'll defer to thers who might know these sources better, but the preent reliance on personal memoirs, is not something I am comfortable with. Pincrete (talk) 07:15, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the addition pending the outcome of discussion. I am not in favor of copying unvetted content from other Wikipedia articles into this GA-rated article. Some of the Harvard citations were broken too. We already have a table of possible relationships, and if our readers want any further information about these people, they can click on the wikilinks to the related articles. There's no need to repeat the contents of those articles here, — Diannaa (talk) 12:19, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also didn't initially notice that Charlotte Lobjoie & Erna Hanfstaengl went missing with the changes. The former is almost certainly 'fake' and the second dubious, but including them even for the purposes of recording that they are unlikely/v. unlikely is a useful function IMO. The closer I looked at the changes, the less I thought them an improvement, so I endorse the removal. Pincrete (talk) 14:03, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see where a lot of verbiage was added, but not an improvement to this GA rated article. Kierzek (talk) 15:05, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, not a RS source and subject covered in article. Kierzek (talk) 23:10, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why do we need this page?

[edit]

I'm confused because everyone knows that he was homophobic, so hes definitely straight. We should put this on the main page for hitler. It doesn't need a second page. Washweans (talk) 18:04, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The main Hitler article has over time become too large, so numerous sub-articles have been created. See the template Template:Adolf Hitler for examples. Diannaa (talk) 20:57, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
