EP vs. single
[edit]@Doomsdayer520: Alright, so here's the thing: in a recent edit, you noted issues with my edit of the code in this article's infobox (as I made it display "EP and single by Ghost"), and you cited your reasoning with Template:Infobox album. Would you perhaps agree to have the code be simply "type = other" (which would produce "Recording by Ghost")? I don't think it's safe to just refer to it as an EP in the infobox. For reference, below is a comparison of reasons I've found to consider it either an EP or a single.

Furthermore, an article published by Blabbermouth.net cites a press release which describes the record as a "double-A-side seven-inch single", and this description is corroborated by an article published by Revolver. Because there isn't consensus on whether or not Seven Inches of Satanic Panic is an EP or a single (and, if it's the latter, what type of single it is), I think we should probably list the "type" in the infobox as "other". –Matthew - (talk) 18:53, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
- @MatthewHoobin: Personally I would lean toward EP but "Other" is a good compromise. And in the end, it would be nice if more than one value could go in that field but it's a Template issue that is bigger than this discussion. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 20:10, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Doomsdayer520: Okay, I'll go ahead and do that then. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused; I wasn't aware that the field in question isn't supposed to contain more than one value. –Matthew - (talk) 22:39, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
