New album is coming, hop hop.

A new album, "Blue Skies" is coming May 20th, 2022. Critical piece of information not yet in the page. I would include it, but the page is protected so what gives. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.202.135.206 (talk) 08:31, 22 April 2022 (UTC)

Can you guys add Seth’s new album Blue Skies on the discography section? The album came out today and it’s his seventh album.[1] 2603:8001:3E01:DD11:904A:77CE:BA90:63D7 (talk) 05:09, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

Split?

Should we split the Seth MacFarlane#Disocgraphy into Seth MacFarlane discography? The section is quite long and already bloats this page as it is. Would do well in its own article, per WP:WHENSPLIT. What do you think? Patrick Possum (talk) 23:25, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

Apparently it was split in the past [2] but I guess it was merged due to the small size of that page. If its text is expanded beyond the original split, then it might be good idea. (CC) Tbhotch 23:57, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
It was split by an editor with a fannish obsession with MacFarlane's side gig as a musician, who has since been banned from Wikipedia (but keeps coming back). Frankly, the material should probably be trimmed down to information that's actually noteworthy, rather than trying to puff it up. There's a lot of indiscriminate data included, such as what formats things were released in, and the table of so-called "promotional singles" whose only "citations" are links to the songs on Apple.com to prove that they exist, I guess? -Jason A. Bad edit under other projects

The third paragraph under other projects seems to have dropped off the first part of that section. It talks about he was hired on to continue the project without identifying what the project is. It seems to be a naked gun movie with Liam neeson but it doesn't say that overtly in that paragraph. 98.33.152.73 (talk) 02:27, 2 March 2023 (UTC)

Under the LGBT Advocacy portion of the Activism section, change "portrayal of transsexual's" to "portrayal of transsexuals." Apostrophes cannot be used to make words plural. Crouching050 (talk) 22:29, 8 April 2023 (UTC)

Please correct.

Contrary to what it says here, the TV series Mulaney was not animated content. I would have made the correction myself, but I couldn't get past the semi-protection. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.51.145.131 (talk) 01:19, 12 April 2023 (UTC)

Include criticism of sexism and bad taste at 2013 Academy Awards hosting?

Several media reports noted that Seth MacFarlanes hosting of the 2013 Academy Wards contained many sexist and misognystic jokes. For example, The New Yorker wrote "It was unattractive and sour, and started with a number called 'We Saw Your Boobs.'" and The New York Times interviewed several people in the business who expressed uneasiness.

I think the above is relevant and should be included in the main article, to display Seth's wide range of humor. 188.151.101.108 (talk) 21:36, 6 June 2023 (UTC)

Not relevant to MacFarlane personally. Criticism is already covered at 85th Academy Awards#"We Saw Your Boobs" controversy. Zaathras (talk) 04:06, 7 June 2023 (UTC)

Personal life, atheism

Quote: "MacFarlane is an outspoken atheist, and has referenced his criticism of religion through many of his works, most notably through Family Guy". First of all, the source given does not mention MacFarlane as being an atheist. MacFarlane mentions Carl Sagan as being a noted atheist. Secondly, shows like the Family Guy is written by a team of executive producers. A source is needed to verify that the collective work of the teams of executive writers "has referenced his (MacFarlane's) criticism of religion". MacFarlane is also an actor, as an actor he conveys the sentiment of the team of executive producers, unless otherwise sourced by reliable sources. 2A02:AA1:102E:6CAB:1CA0:6D62:A3B6:D765 (talk) 23:19, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

Hence my removal of the unsourced content but @Ziggy Coltrane: seems to disagree with removing unsourced material. It might be his personal views but those aren't reflected in any of the shows. Especially American Dad and Family Guy (unless we count Brian which is one character). But apart from that outspoken means every form of media and role. One character and his own personal real life are two separate things. So unless a source clarify it and him using it in every media of his. It's WP: Original research. Unfortunately, Seth hasn't experienced a relationship with God. When and if he ever does, he will find out that God is not "some guy in the sky." He is inside of all of us. It's just a matter of accessing him to feel him.
It is quite an Awakening. One that you will not find in church. 2603:9000:8000:AD30:FE17:917A:43B9:FAE3 (talk) 22:34, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
I'll correct myself on that one. I personally did not get that feeling in church. Fortunately, I had the gift of desperation and I had nowhere else to go. How blessed I am that God came to me. 2603:9000:8000:AD30:FE17:917A:43B9:FAE3 (talk) 22:37, 21 October 2023 (UTC)

SEMI-PROTECTED EDIT REQUEST (1/18/2024)

Hi, I'm new to Wikipedia editing so I apologize if I'm not doing this correctly, but I am requesting that somebody correct the following error, which is in the American Dad! portion of the Career section:

"It was announced on November 4, 2013, that Barker would depart American Dad! after 10 seasons as producer/co-showrunner, due to creative differences as production for season 11 on TBS began."

[3]https://www.huffpost.com/entry/american-dad-shakeup_n_4218021

[4]https://deadline.com/2013/11/american-dad-executive-producerco-showrunner-mike-barker-exits-626426/

I read through both cited sources, and the bit about creative differences is incorrect. One of the two sources does not mention why Barker left the show at all. And the other source, the Deadline article, says this:

"I hear the change at the helm was made over concerns that the show was not running smoothly."

This is not enough to objectively state why Barker quit American Dad. As far as I am aware, Barker has never formally confirmed why he chose to leave the show, and the idea that it was due to creative differences is just a rumor. ADDER333 (talk) 20:37, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
