cruelty
[edit]Though I'm sure being steamed alive is horrible (though I'm not sure how much they can feel, real tiny brains), evolutionarily the cultivation of the silk worm has been a great hit. would they spread their genes to that extent any other way? Some of their young die, which would happen anyway in the wild, in exchange they get to be fed and get to bread. Symbioses. I wonder if cultures who eat silk worms eat the works killed in the silk making process. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.206.189.6 (talk) 21:27, 13 April 2011 (UTC) In response to your question, I have deleted the link to silkworms having to construct cocoons without natural recourse to 3D space, being forced to live in 2D space with limited constraints. A sadistic experiment and a disgusting link posted to Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:C23:744E:A200:2192:E883:A90F:49B5 (talk) 00:44, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Editorial Commentary Aimed at Gandhi
[edit]While true, the sentence, "The machines lead to injury, diseases and death of humans instead of silkworms" is editorial and misses the mark of NPOV. (98.171.169.19 (talk) 03:22, 1 March 2015 (UTC))

Fixed Spelling again
[edit]I have fixed the spelling of the captions beneath the images twice now. Please do not break the spelling again. Here is some information about rotary mountages. A montage is a series of things, a mountage is a thing for mounting things onto, such as silk, https://www.researchgate.net/publication/291647290_Rotary_mountage_and_its_advantages I hope you have a nice day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Psypherium (talk • contribs) 02:27, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
silk pavilion video
[edit]I think it should be removed. It's definitely a neat art video, but it's not necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.83.180.11 (talk) 18:50, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
Peace Silk
[edit]The article states that "peace silk is superior to regular silk" without giving an explination of why it is quote unquote superior. Presumably it's due to the lack of injury to the silkworms, but if that's the case then the article should clearly say that. Also, and this may just be my opinion, I do think that that section does miss the mark of NPOV at points, though I might be wrong — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.92.190.170 (talk) 11:35, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
