Focus on early decades

[edit]

While Jedruch does not say so explicitly, it is likely that the numbers and competences he describes are true only for the pre-1848 period. (He does not that this time period is the primary focus of his chapter). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 23:23, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. Has an appropriate reference section:
    B. Citation to reliable sources where necessary:
I'm deeply concerned that this article relies so heavily on one source. I'm not sure if that is a fatal defect. I'm going to ask for a second opinion. Chris Troutman (talk) 21:56, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
I haven't seen much English-language writing on this subject. This covers the major aspects discussed in the literature. Chris Troutman (talk) 15:38, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    B. Focused:
  4. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content:
I think images from the commons could be used, even if somewhat tangential. Chris Troutman (talk) 23:42, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    B. Images are provided if possible and are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
Heavy reliance on a single source is permitted for GA. More sourcing will be required for A-level and FA review. While I would like to see images, there aren't any that are exactly applicable to the topic and therefore not per se necessary. Chris Troutman (talk) 15:38, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
