Is "secularization (of church property)" always a forced action?
[edit]Is "secularization (of church property)" always a forced action?
I got hung up on the phrase
> This article is about the confiscation of church property by a state.
As a non-english speaker I got the impression "secularization (of church property)" is always "confiscation". I see no mention of the church organisation selling its properties by free will, without the negative connotation.
Further down it is mentioned "Secularization" as the movement in whole. LosManos (talk) 07:48, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
