Mónica Oltra's resignation

Mónica Oltra announced her resignation on 21 June, but the official dismissal was on 29 June (as shown in [1]). Similar to a government that becomes acting after an election, there is a dismissal decree the day that the next government is appointed. In this case, even if there were some holidays, the office was acting between the 21 and the 29, and Oltra was officially and legally in the post until the 29. It doesn't work that way, publication here is just informative, not legally binding. As per Article 29 of Law 5/1983, of 30 December, a regional minister terminates his/her duties the moment they resign and the President accepts their resignation (this happened on 21 June). The publication on 29 June is due only to pave the way for Mas' appointment (unlike resignations, that does require publication).

Further, this works exactly the same as a government that becomes acting after an election, but the other way around: those are removed from their offices the day after the election, but keep their offices in acting capacity until a new government is appointment. We don't use the date of the decree's publication there, either, but the date of the effective end of their services. Impru20^talk 20:47, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
