Agreed. DoyleyTalk 16:48, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
It's better to keep them seperate as every murder has their own page with details of their crime. GrumpyGuts (talk) 14:51, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Merge this 'human being' is not notable outside of the murder he committed. Sky83 (talk) 13:34, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
I dont think it is suitable to merge it together as it is the individual who commited the crime have a separate article,it would be much confussion with the article Misterconginialtastical (talk) 01:40, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- This scum should not have an article. It seems to serve only to sensationalise this waste of oxygen. There's hardly any information or cites here anyway - why was it created? It should be merged immediately for the same reason Ian Huntley, the Preddie brothers and Jon Venables/Robert Thompson don't have their own articles. 88.110.70.19 (talk) 18:11, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Merge - emotional arguments aside, this individual is not notable outside this case. GrumpyGuts: many murderers are uniquely notable, e.g. those who murder a famous individual (John Wilkes Booth, Mark David Chapman, etc), those who murdered multiple people (John Haigh, Peter Sutcliffe), those who are historically notable (Jack the Ripper), etc. There's nothing about Mercer that makes him unique and this murder is only really notable because the victim was a small child and the media attention that followed. --Razakel19 (talk) 13:26, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
