Fair use rationale for Image:OP-1706.jpg

Image:OP-1706.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. End date

The end date can't be in 1948; I find the Scout listed in the March 1950 Official Guide. Mackensen (talk) 22:33, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

One thing that may be confusing matters is that there are a lot of references to special trains run to a Boy Scout jamboree on the ATSF in 1953. Mangoe (talk) 01:51, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

i'm going to go ahead and cite the Fred Frailey blog with a 1954 end of service, as the 1948 date is basically unsourced and the later date is partially supported by the 1953 ATSF timetable. -MJ (talk) 00:05, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Scout was discontinued as a Chicago-Los Angeles train in 1948 but survived as a Newton, Kansas-Belen, New Mexico train until 1954. It appears on Santa Fe 1953 timetables but not on the January 10 1954 timetable, so my guess is that its last run departed January 9. As listed in the timetables up until 1953, it was a through Chicago-Albuquerque train, but in fact ran through cars on the California Limited to Kansas City, an unnamed Kansas City-Galveston train to Newton, the named Scout from Newton to Belen, and an unnamed train from El Paso to Albuquerque via Belen.
