Other spacecraft
[edit]The article currently states that SATCAT numbers are assigned "to all Earth orbiting satellites". While this is undoubtedly true it's also a little misleading, since satellites orbiting other planets (eg, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) and spacecraft that are not satellites (eg Voyager 1) are also assigned SATCAT numbers. There's a similar problem at the COSPAR article. I'd fix it myself but wasn't sure how best to word it. Perhaps someone else can do that? nagualdesign 19:16, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
- I tried. Feel free to improve. — Sbsail talk 07:51, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
Another catalog seems to be the General Catalog of Artificial Space Objects, which uses some of the same object numbers. Article here. TGCP (talk) 12:52, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
