Song Jessie by Joshua Kadison

In the article it says that above mentioned song is about Sarah Jessica Parker. Since both SJP and Joshua Kadison have always denied that, I think there should at least be some kind of verification or citation to show the origin of this claim! - Joe King —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.159.89.8 (talk) 00:05, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

I missed this comment. Yes, it's been unsourced. I removed it. See #Kennedy and Kadisson (sic) below.--ospalh (talk) 13:28, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Gay Icon Project

In my effort to merge the now-deleted list from the article Gay icon to the Gay icons category, I have added this page to the category. I engaged in this effort as a "human script", adding everyone from the list to the category, bypassing the fact-checking stage. That is what I am relying on you to do. Please check the article Gay icon and make a judgment as to whether this person or group fits the category. By distributing this task from the regular editors of one article to the regular editors of several articles, I believe that the task of fact-checking this information can be expedited. Thank you very much. Philwelch 21:50, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Son

"The couple's first child, son James Wilkie Broderick, was born on October 28, 2002. He was named after Broderick's father, the distinguished Irish-American actor James Broderick. Given her public declarations of support for public schools, school choice advocates are anxious to see if Parker makes good on her 2004 promise to enter James Wilke into the New York City public school system when he turns five in 2007." Did she put her son in a public school? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.73.93.89 (talk) 21:47, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Lawyer show?

No mention of the television lawyer drama she was in during the 80s? It started around the same time as L.A. Law but I don't think it lasted the season. But I do distinctly remember Ms. Parker. You can call me Al 04:24, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Sarah's inspiration for "Bitten", exclusive interview

Hi, here is a fresh article that may be good to add to this page. In this article, it makes a mention that the reason why Sarah Jessica Parker decided to go with Steve & Barry's was partly inspired by Stephon Marbury's successful and cause-worthy collaboration with them for his affordable $15 sneaker line.

"Parker picked Steve & Barry's—a chain of big-box stores that says (with no apparent sense of irony) its mission is to change the world because she wanted to offer women the little-black-dress equivalent of a $14.98 sneaker designed by New York Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury—which is, to date, Steve & Barry's biggest success."

Additionally, this same url may be a good item to place under the interviews or external links section. Please take a look and let me know if it's worth a reference, if so please incorporate the into the page. Thanks. -Sparkbyte 19:41, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Maxim Ugliest Woman Award

Why does this keep getting removed? It is a blatant fact! To much for her fans to chew? I thought this was an encyclopedic website not a corrupt and biased one. Grow up. I am editing it again. It better stay there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.95.45.157 (talk) 08:10, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Maxim is indeed a notable magazine, you could have a point, though they tend to make up a lot of awards so I'm not sure if they're all notable. Tyciol (talk) 13:54, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
In light of the Sarah Jessica Parker v Horse meme it's kinda difficult to say it's not a note worthy observation.--Insancipitory (talk) 12:08, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
I agree that this "award" should be included. The article is lengthy in promoting her; so why not something impartial. She is no beauty, to say the least. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.68.15.246 (talk) 23:19, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
seriously, she is ugly. Many of my female friends emulate her, thinking that if they copy her appearance and mannerisms it will help them attract men. Yet most of my male friends think she's horrible looking. What a hag. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.249.192.122 (talk) 22:58, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

There exists a meme specifically regarding her supposedly unattractive appearance. I can't think of a single famous female celebrity who receives more crap about her looks than Parker. Numerous television shows (such as Family Guy and South Park) have gone out of their way to poke fun at her looks. Doing a Google search for "Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a horse" returns 47,800 matches, and the phrase "Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a foot" returns 46,300 matches. Google searching for just her name brings up www.sarahjessicaparkerlookslikeahorse.com on the FIRST PAGE. I'm not saying the meme isn't mean-spirited (it is), but it is noteworthy and verifiable. There are people who have never watched SATC and are mainly aware of her due to this meme. This article is way too long to completely ignore one of the things that she is well-known for. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.121.59.249 (talk) 08:35, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Spamming

There is a great deal of spamming in the main article about "Parker's" fragances and so on. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.41.51.240 (talk) 10:25, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Kennedy and Kadisson

I've removed references to romantic involvements with John Kennedy Jr. and Joshua Kadison per WP:GRAPEVINE. Anybody got any verifiable sources? There was one reference about Kadison, a comment on a lyrics page, but that's hardly reliable. Anybody got anything reliable about these two guys and SJP? (I'm not saying it's not true, I just want proof.)--ospalh (talk) 09:55, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

South Park

Should this be included? (Season 14 ep 2) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.232.190.106 (talk) 19:13, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

Probably not since south park made fun of hundreds of famous people. Should we go through and mention it in the articles of every famous person? (Jvclark2 (talk) 03:52, 29 April 2010 (UTC))

If we did, it would provide a humorous yet *sometimes* completely unfounded-in-reality commentary on the person. Example, where katie couric is used as a measurement for human fecal matter in south park. It would be better if there was a south park reference page, where every episode and reference of south park is recorded, but that seems like a job for something like a southpark wiki, not real wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.22.202.59 (talk) 19:34, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

What does this mean? I don't think it is useful to mention her mother living a new york lifestyle in Cincinnati unless details are given as to what that means. Why is that detail in there at all? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.167.49.116 (talk) 02:19, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Before glamorizing the single life in her Manolo Blahniks, Sarah Jessica Parker couldn't land a role as the "pretty girl." Then Steve Martin cast her as his bubbly lover SanDeE* in L.A. Story, breaking her '80s trend as the frizzy-haired sidekick. [1] Sridhn (talk) 04:11, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
