CSD tags on article page
[edit]I would like to contest the CSD tags that have been placed on the article page. The first one about "advert" appears to be misunderstanding the article itself. It has been said that the use of the phrase "will be" does not present what the festival "is", but rather what it "plans to be". How is this advertising? The wikilink for Sanremo Music Festival which follows the line "will be" directs readers to the main festival article, where an explanation of the festival can be found. To repeat such explanatory details from Sanremo Music Festival page to annual one is unnecessary, and repetitiveness.
The second CSD tag regarding "orphan" is also bizarre. To say there are "as few or no other articles link to it" is harsh. As the article is covering a contest that is happening in 2012; then there wouldn't be any other links for it, other than a link to the main Sanremo Music Festival, which is sufficient enough, plus there's "see also" links at the bottom of the page which directs readers to Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. If there were more than one contest held within a year, then naturally there would be other links that could be added.
Therefore I accordingly invite other editors to discuss these further, so that an overall decision/consensus can be found and conclude a peaceful resolution in what may be a grey area on what is and isn't classified as advertising. Wesley Mouse (talk) 13:28, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
There is also the line on the first CSD tag about "removing any inappropriate external links". The only external link is to the official website for Sanremo Music Festival, which looking at guidelines is within WP:ELYES. Wesley Mouse (talk) 13:38, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- I have removed the advert tag, pending an explanation for its placement. There is no content in the article which can reasonably be considered to be "advertising". I have read through it several times trying to find "this is a wonderful contest" type material, but have not been successful. I don't have an opinion on the orphan tag, but I have added some categories. CT Cooper · talk 15:18, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012
[edit]Hi, I'm not very familiar with the Sanremo Music Festival at all but I am here for Eurovision. Is it ok if I highlighted Nina Zilli on the Fifth Round just to indicate that she was chosen as the Eurovision entrant for Italy? I think that she was also a winner or was awarded in a way for being chosen by the jury as the entrant. I would also like to add some more information regarding the time at which Nina Zilli was announced as the Eurovision entrant. However, I am unsure about the details of how she was announced.
Please watch this video here. I would like to ask when was this announced? After the First round or during the Second round of the Fifth night? Bleubeatle (talk) 12:15, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
DoneGot confirmation at Talk page of Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest about it already.
