Serious Inaccuracy
[edit]The page claims that it was not till the change of ownership that Alderson took up so-called "sabermetric" tools. That is flat wrong. He was interested in the subject from even before he was formally named GM (he was de facto GM for some time prior to his formal appointment); I submitted my first annual statistical-analytic report (I dislike the term "sabermetrics") on the organization to Alderson on 22 September 1982, and its commissioning arose because Alderson was already familiar with the general ideas of modern analysis.
