She is german- american
Sandra Bullock is german-american, not american only. It should say so because she is german by law (German citizenship) and by self definition: she stated several times how important her german identity is for her. Dennydenny1988 (talk) 08:50, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

Also the german and other foreign Wikipedia pages show this with sources. Dennydenny1988 (talk) 10:34, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Im new here, i put several links in here to support this information. I don't know why it does not show. Dennydenny1988 (talk) 10:36, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- Some sources I quickly checked...
- Biography.com - says nothing
- Encyclopedia Britannica - says American actress
- Getty Images - says German-American
- TV Guide - says nothing
- CelebsLline - says American actress
- Hollywood Walk Of Fame - American actress
- Hollywood Life - American actress
- USA News Hour - American-German actress
- So it runs the gambit but I found more saying simply "American actress." Fyunck(click) (talk) 11:00, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Well her citizenship is still german and US american though. How can i put links in here? In german there are plenty links too, even of herself talking about it. Dennydenny1988 (talk) 11:43, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- The article already says she has American and German citizenship. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:46, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- Well then the head should say german-american. When it's in the article, it must have a source, so put it in the head? Dennydenny1988 (talk) 21:51, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- Just because you have multiple citizenships doesn't mean you are a German-American-French-Israeli actor. It's not like Bullock acts in a ton of German cinema projects. And sourcing seems to be in favor of simply American actress. Fyunck(click) (talk) 22:10, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

This is interesting 🤔 when someone has the citizenship of a country, someone is by definition citizen of that country. With a german citizenship she is in fact german, If you like it or not. I assume you're american?... Well it has to be written in the head, otherwise its american-washing for someone who not even self defines as american only. Dennydenny1988 (talk) 08:19, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, very interesting that you decide to use america-washing when you seem to know nothing about how Wikipedia works. You'll note that Emily Blunt is listed as a British actress even though she has US citizenship and has actually performed in American films. We don't call that British-washing. Peddle that crap somewhere else Dennydenny. Fyunck(click) (talk) 10:07, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

Citizenship
If she is a German citizen and had a German mother and grew up in Germany, why isn’t she described as ”German-American” and instead as just ”American”? 2001:14BB:C9:D246:28B3:81EE:E1FD:67A7 (talk) 15:39, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- Per this, she had dual citizenship until she was 18, implying that she gave up her German citizenship at that point and is not now a citizen of Germany. But then, per this, used as a reference in the article, she applied for German citizenship in 2009. So I don't know what the deal is. Largoplazo (talk) 16:47, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
