Not enough literary sources! NOT up to date. Lehmann is not enough. There are no real archeological evidences for the rituals. Better read: Greek mysteries from 2003 and Theoi Megaloi. The Kabiroi are only mentioned by Herodot, but not with names! All other litarary sources used the therm "theoi megaloi". There is no evidence that the kabiroi ar Anx...., this is a meaning of a ancient literary Drama, i think it´s called the Frogs. But thes A... are seen from some Autors as Demeter, Persehpone, Hermes..., but there is nothing that says they are all in that sanctuary...as is said in that article. We have to accept that we know nothing of these Kabiroi! This article should be done new! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.57.237.122 (talk) 22:36, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Translation issues
[edit]- The Great Mother <<currently some incongruities on the Mother Goddess related pages - this is best I could find (2 May 06), this may need updating>>,
- Two other masculine deities accompany Kadmylos. <<The French article calls these the Cabires - but if this is the case, what about the intro which states that collectively the gods where all referred to as cabires??>>
- During a later period this same myth was associated with that of the marriage of Cadmos and Harmony, possibly due to a similarity of names to Kadmylos and Electra.<<This bullet is confusing - onomastia may relate Cadmos & Kadmylos - but how does that relate to Axiokersos & Hades?? - bit of a non-sequitur, plus the stories are different in any case>>
- Fr text states ptolemeion crosses western brook - this is patently the other way around
- C'est une sorte de temple, mais qui n'est pas périptère et ne comporte qu'une colonnade prostyle - lack of a periptery is not unusual, and by english definition, a prostyle only consists of a single row of four collumns - therefore the contradicting clause is, well, contradictory. - "... soit de celle (276-271) où, veuve, elle se remarie avec son propre frère, Ptolémée II Philadelphe.", I translated/changed to: "Widowed after his death in battle in 281 BC, she married her half-brother, Ptolemy Keraunos" (curious how it achieved FA with that faux-pas)
- il pourrait s'agir d'une dédicace rhodienne plutôt que macédonienne, si on en croit l'analyse du calcaire utilisé pour la proue du navire et le type de de ce dernier, tous deux provenant de Rhodes - what is 'de de ce dernier' ? is this referring to the fountain? (possibly). Until this is confirmed, prudent to mention only the prow.

- Concerning Arsinoe II, I think you are in error. She marries Ptolemy Keraunos, her half-brother, ca. 280 BC, and Ptolemy II, her full brother, ca. 274. As for "de ce dernier", I think it refers to the ship. Jastrow 17:00, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
