NPOV
[edit]I may be wrong, but it does seem that this article is slightly biased towards giving an overly stated view on the sucess of Sam Roberts. What does everyone else think? --Manik52 10:07, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- I think so. The article seems to have a pretty positive spin but not to the extent of presenting information that is blatantly false. Some statements like "his first single "Brother Down" became one of the biggest Canadian hits of the year" seem to be exaggerating slightly. As far as I know "Where Have All the Good People Gone?" was his first big Canadian "hit" and it was far from the biggest of the year. Sam Roberts does not appear to be considered a major act in the prairies. It seems believable that he might be bigger in Quebec. I'm not sure if it is truly NPOV or not - quoting quantifiable data such as album sales or weeks of radio play would probrably be more appropriate than a subjective measure of how "big" Sam Roberts is. 216.36.186.2 (talk) 19:20, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Picture
[edit]I think someone can do a better job with his bio picture. Don't you think? ——The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.138.169.23 (talk • contribs) 08:44, August 10, 2006 (UTC-5)
- If you can find a better, freely-licensed photo, by all means upload it. —Chowbok 14:49, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- The picture that was added was not freely-licensed, so I have reverted. —Chowbok 20:37, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
That picture is disturbing, he looks like a horse- big open nostrils, veins popping out of his neck —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.49.5.174 (talk • contribs) 23:46, 1 March 2007
- I'm sick of everyone complaining. We can use any of these photos, so if you want to upload one, feel free. —Chowbok ☠ 18:46, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Sam Roberts' Looks
[edit]I'm not sure that this the following excerpt is particularly accurate or conforms to NPOV. Seems a bit like vandalism to me, tbh.
All band mates find it wise to look like Sam. Sam and his good looks have become a curse to all band mates and fans across the globe.
Any thoughts? Illu45 (talk) 21:20, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's vandalism, added by 99.234.155.59 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) -- Scorpion0422 01:26, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]One reference for this article? I'm sure we can do better. I'll try to work on it but anyone contributing to this article should be ashamed. He's gotten fairly huge and so sources should be easy to come by. Beach drifter (talk) 05:44, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
