Editing this article
[edit]There seem to be a few users passionate about this article who are very new to Wikipedia. Rather than removing things you don't like or trying to control how the subject of this article is portrayed, please share your concerns on this page and we'll come to a compromise. This is how Wikipedia is built. Bradv 01:42, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- The subjects stance on same-sex marriage has not been made clear, and news sources given do not state the subject thinks it should be illegal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Timsonly (talk • contribs) 01:54, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- This source specifically and clearly says "He believes abortion and same sex marriage should be illegal." Stop removing referenced material. Justeditingtoday (talk) 02:00, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- The source given is pundits commentary, there are no quotes to indicate the pundit is correct. Timsonly (talk) 02:02, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- I haven't found any sources that give an alternative view, and there are no indications in that news article that it is meant to be commentary or satire. Wikipedia is built using reliable secondary sources such as newspapers, and the CBC is considered a good source. The statement stays unless you can prove it wrong. Bradv 02:14, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Change the line: " Oosterhoff is a social conservative, and believes that abortion and same-sex marriage should be illegal."
New Line: "Oosterhoff considers himself to be a "comprehensive conservative" Cite error: A <ref>

Role/job change
[edit]Oosterhoff is no longer the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education. He is now the Parliamentary Assistant to the minister responsible for “red tape reduction”. Because of how the Ontario government’s directory works, I can’t provide a direct link to what should be his page as the link sometimes fails. Here’s a link to the Minister’s office; scroll down for Oosterhoff. Alternatively, just search employee Oosterhoff at the directory’s main page. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 11:14, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
