Is it possible that 'sala' could be a borrowing from Spanish 'sala' "room, big room" (itself a borrowing from a Germanic source)? Anyone--Hraefen 20:05, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
having earlier read briefly through a book on palladio, I believe the term sala was used to describe a common room type within classical architecture- can anyone confirm this or care to help expand this article? --Sethking 01:38, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
